![]() I Liked this movie a lot because it took a different look on the whole fighting scene. This was everything that was going on outside of the ring. I love movies that are mob influenced and anything that has to do with the underground businesses. I don't think this movie could of did a better job by making terry an old fighter and especially the fact that his boss when he was in the ring is now his boss out side the ring... johnny the mob boss. You can tell throughout the movie that johnny controls everyone and pretty much everything. You can see that johnny likes terry a lot because he will do anything he says and has made him a lot of money in side and out side the ring. i Find it interesting that they make terry's brother is johnny's right hand man. And we see that at the end of the movie he was supposed to be killed by his brother Charley but he let him go which ended up getting himself killed for not listening to the boss. i also think that if terry was as brave as he was at the end of the movie he could of got him and his brother out by standing up to johnny. The scene from YouTube below shows you the power that johnny had and the indimidation that he had on all his workers. at the end out the scene there is a line that stands out to me the most its the sentence that says " you have a real friend here and don't forget it. Why should he forget it? then terry says yea thanks johnny" To me this is johnny showing terry that he basically owns him and will treat him like a friend as long as he listens and does what he says. ![]() this next video is crucial because its terry finally expressing himself to charlie telling him he could of been somebody. But instead they ended his fighting career just to make a quick buck. He refers to himself as a bum also and talked down on himself the whole video. I think that is why charlie let him go so easily besides the fact that it was his brother it was because he knew he was wrong and should of looked after him more and not looked at him as just a profit.

I liked the point you made about how if Terry had stood up to Johnny sooner, than Charley wouldn't have gotten killed and maybe even Joey as well. Since all the people underneath Johnny weren't about to stand up to him, even though if they all did it together it would have been easy, that didn't happen. It was kind of obvious that Charley was never going to kill Terry; you can just tell from his character, and how he was reluctant to do it as soon as Johnny brought it up. Great points!

I liked how you talked about the scene where Terry tells Charlie he should have looked out for him. I also talked about this scene and my thoughts were similar to yours. Terry does hint the blame at his older brother because he should have took better care of him, after all he was his manager.
